Why haven't many manufacturers mad a board with both of these new technologies, it's holding me back from my planned upgrade, from what I've seen the only AMD board with both of these features is a gigabyte.

MSI also puts these features into their boards.
Check it out at either:

thank you , I used a MSI board in my previous p.c. and was very pleased, only thing that I dislike on this one is the DDR only ram.

Well SDRAM was only made for use on 266MHz FSB boards with ATA-100, I never saw one that had ATA-133 with SDRAM, due to lack of SDRAM support that seems to be apparent with the manufacturers.

It could be the fact that SDRAM may be a performance issue with the ATA-133 speeds, something that could be countermeasured with DDR.

The upgrading never stops!

I'm starting to think geting a cutting edge package as I was considering may not be cost effective, maybe I'll settle for a nice mobo and a athlon 1.4 , I'm running my ata-133 drive on a highpoint card on my athlon 800 and its extremely fast. So why not buy a not so highend combo and move the controller over with it right.

True, you can get the ECS K7S5A board for dirt cheap, put an Athlon into and run SDRAM or DDR RAM.

That board usually goes for $55-$80 and it is well worth it for the performance that it provides.

Here is the link to the board:
