i need to know how much video time you can burn on a cd? i need to get 60min. on one cd if possible! anyone have a clue?

With mpeg, you can get about 45 min. The quality of mpeg is much better though. Was someone pulling my leg, or can you really play vcd's in eg. dvd-player that are like 640x480/30fps. The vhs format is cif/25 as far as I remember (the pal system). -M otheos 11-30-2000, 01:54 AM VideoCD format (not just a file on a CD) can take up to 74minutes of video. BUT the mpeg format has to be white book compatible: 340x288x25fps and 44100 16bit audio. Most burning software have an encoder to created such mpeg for you from avi or other sources. Quality is not great but you can play the disk on a DVD player (stand alone deck) that can read CDR's, since all DVD players are VCD capable too. SysOpt.com
