What is the Best Hard Drive Type.

IDE or SCSI i.e. Speed and reliability.

No contest - SCSI. Unfortunately, SCSI controllers and drives cost big bux. SCSI drives also run noisier and hotter than IDE.

In essence, there's no free lunch here.

Scsi also run at 10,000 rpm plus. Best IDE is 7200 but the two are completely different.

Seeing as your ex wife has all your money try a Maxtor 7200 60gb for £105 from www.novatech.com or www.dabs.com

good value, quality and cheap.
