Hi,

I have just purchased a new 45gig HDD and would like to install more than one operating system (Windows ME and Windows NT 4.0), could someone please tell me what the best way would be to do this ?, which one should i install first and how do i have to set up everything.

I would be very thankfull for any info and help.

Thanks in advance,

Set up your partitions in DOS with FDISK off the boot disk. Install WinME first and then NT as the NT boot record must be the last to be written. Partition sizes depend on your preference. I usually set up a partition for each OS and then set up one large storage partition that both OSes share.
If you need more info on FDISK or any other part of the instalation, let us know.

Yes pls tell me more about FDISK. What is the benefit of having a section that both O/S's share ?.

Thanks,
amour.

I use it as a method of ORGANISATION.

I have 10 gb completely dedicated to DATA, thats it. It helps me the cinteralize a problem if there is one, as well as during BACKUP. Good luck,

hummm...

well the benefit is both OSes will be able to access that data.

Iffin, you want OSes to access only partitions they see, post back. (been there, done that)

If nt and me use different memory management, how can both OSes use/share the same data? Just wondering cuz i have win 95 on one partition and 2000 on another. But the dont share data(I think).
