Well...I did it. And it was goooooood.
Last night I decided to give redhat 7.0 a chance on one of my spare box's. K6-2 333, 64mb ram, 4 gig hd, 16meg agp vid card....It was my first linux install, and it is the first time that I have ever ran linux.
I was amazed how flawless & easy it was to install. It also properly detected all of my hardware...
The best part about the install was that I did not have to type in a 80,000 character cd key code (which can take longer than the entire install process of some of microsoft's products!).
I was up last night until 4am playing around with linux. I believe that I will really enjoy it, and am looking forward towards tinkering with it when I get off of work!
I strongly recommend trying it out! I'm running ME, 98, and 2K pro on my other machines.
...ahhhhhhh...no more blue screens of death on at least one of my box's.
