Hey, I am a new member to this board :)

I am currently going to make a new good computer,,,

Well anyways I found this deal at OA systems in Edmonton,
A well know store.

ECS k7S5A motherboard w/audio and Lan.
AMD Athlon XP 1700 cpu,,
Volcano 6CU (7000rpm) heatsink,, +fan

335 dollars (canadian)

I was wondering if this is a good deal and purchase?
I have researched lately on the motherboard, and searched on this forum, and it seems to me alot of people have problems, also i have looked at reviews on the motherboard and places gave it a very good mark (9/10) , so if u have any tips that i should probably know, its all apreciated ,,
thanx alot guys

:)

Hmm......About $225 or $250 US. I guess if it converts close to that in Canadian dollars then its alright. ;)

other than the cpu, kooler, is the motherboard worth buying itself?

like i said earlier many people either did not know how to install it or it just plain screwed up, one more thing, when and if iam done putting together the parts and am about to start it up, will the bios specify what frequency (speed) the CPU is running at automatically
