i love the demo. Like how all the aliens attack you all at the same time...Although it is pretty easy...

I thought the graphics were the best part. Exspecailly when it shows the videos of the aliens coming. Also I like cutting down a tree with the chain saw and having them fall on the aliens:D

It is a great game. one of the best i have played in a while. Just beat it a few minutes ago.

Very very good graphics and a lot of fun.

A little to easy for me. (had it on hardest setting)

I love when a couple thousand(yea u heard me thousand) aliens come runnign at you. And you wipe out your minigun and MOW them all down.

Sweet game i reccomend it.

I am not sure of the price, maybe because this one is almost like an expansion of the original? Now i'm   ......

I love the game's beautiful graphics. On my computer I have the graphics detail set to max with 4X antialiasing turned on. I also love just walking around with a bunch of big guns and getting to blast the hell out of some aliens. The double barrel shotgun is good for that.

I myself, After reading the first post, thought maybe i was missing out on something, so like the fool i am, i totally skipped checking the demo out, and got the FULL game.

one word: ****!!!!!

This game sux.
MOHAA kicks ***.

I installed the goddamn game, and played for a total of 20 minutes. Then unistalled it. Thinkin maybe i was perhaps too high and or drunk to ralize what had taken place an hour earlier, i proceeded to re-install for a second tryout.

Ya know what? I was right the first time. What a sorry excuse for a game.

BTW, the game publishers put a price on the package, representing the quality of the contents within the box, that's why they charge a whole $20 for it. I figure there must be an extra $10 dollar tax, because the game isn't worth more than $10... Should have been released as FREEWARE.

Well you cant comapre the game to MOHAA. Mohaa is ment to realistic. seroius sam Is not. Sure it is simple but so is MOHAA. Beat that in less than 3 days to. Did the same to RTCW. Games arent hard. I personally didnt think mOHAA was all that great. I hate to say but i really missed the blood.(sure thier the blood patch) But i just need everyone to bleed. Also how can ppl sya it is realistic. Whne it takes like 6 shots with a sub-machin gun to kill someone. Thats realistic? I had more fun with sam than i did with MOHAA.

Just opionons.

Serious sam second encounter is on sale for $14.95 at Best Buy (USA). I thought it was well worth the 20 bucks. Also first version is on the shelf for $9.99. The difficulty I am having is trying to get two players set up to play the game. My son likes the keyboard and mouse but I would like to do a split screen with me on the sidewinder pro and help with the killing. Ah good ole family fun!

My opinion, worth the $20

This game is only $20 and compared to many other games out there at that price, Serious Sam: The Second Encounter is well worth the dollars I paid. As for Medal of Honor, the game was worth the money I paid for it ($40) for various other reasons. In anycase like what araaraara said, its just great to be able to walk around and look at the beautiful scenery in Serious Sam. After taking a look around, you can easily jump into a game and find yourself blasting aliens to bits almost immediately. In a way, it reminds me of some of the older games such as Doom 2 and Duke Nukem 3D. Those games are classic shooters.

I really didnt like the doom games. But as i sayed before i really enjoyed Seroius sam 2.

I loved Serious Sam #1. I equated that to a more recent Duke Nukem type, where cerebrality makes and exit and pure spinal-chord responses take over. And that's what made it FUN.

I haven't had time to play the demo yet (although I have it). Tell me, is the graphic detail pretty much the same as the first? Meaning, is there anything new graphicswise setting it apart from the first one? btw, i loved the graphics from the first encounter. Wow. My new comp is 5 days old today and man, that first game engine still rocks! I have every possible detail set as high as it will go(i admit i need to reduce my sharpness a bit). I still use a standard res 1024x768 and really haven't tried to use AA yet, but I will.

I do plan on buying SS2, but not sure when my wife will let me ;).

I'm wrting this SERIOUS reply SERIOUSLY! SERIOUS Sam rules, I haven't had this much SERIOUS fun playing games for years, specially out of a SERIOUS 3D shooting game like this SERIOUS one. I've always been a SERIOUS tourist (chicken?) in this game, and SERIOUSLY killed many SERIOUS monsters with my SERIOUS minigun. Well, I really enjoyed killing, and hated to be killed, SERIOUSLY. I play through the game two SERIOUS times (of course, as a tourist), and made a SERIOUS decision to play it SERIOUSLY in easy mode tonight(well, who cares about guitar practice? not as SERIOUS as playing SERIOUS Sam).

Somehow my SERIOUSLY old graphic card(A SERIOUS TNT2 M64) does not allow me to play this SERIOUS game smoothly under a SERIOUS mode like a SERIOUS 1280 X SERIOUS 768, I'm just waiting for my SERIOUS Radeon to be shipped and play it more SERIOUSLY.

How was the first one??? I went directly to the second encounter, and I'm SERIOUSLY considering buying the first one.

SERIOUS peace and have a SERIOUS day.

Agreed, the SS: First Encounter was what made the Second Encounter an easy purchase, plus the cheap $20 price tag. The first Serious Sam kicked @$$ and with some multiplayer mayhem thrown in, what a bargain it was at the time. Now its an even better steal here in Washington. I think either CompUSA or Circuit City is selling the original at $6.99 retail. WoW!

serious sam 1 and 2 are both lighthearted and fun games. i normally play quake 3 and this is a nice change of pace. the game is completely over the top with the enemies and the action gets to be very frantic!

i picked up SS1 and SS2 for $9.99 each, a total of $19.98, and have had that much in the first few hours of playing.

the co-op mode really adds replayability to this game. playing this on a LAN is an even better than the single player as the number of enemies (which at times can be in the hundreds) increases and it's nice to have your buddies in the game with you whipping on those poor ol' aliens :p .

That's great to hear about the Serious Sam II multiplayer mode. I haven't had the chance to test it out, but I definitely will because co-op is in many ways, more fun than straight deathmatch. I guess thats why I like Capture the Flag and Domination modes so much in addition to DM.

Just got the demo from the PCW mag here in the UK, and I must say, even with my meagre set up, it rocks !

Shame I cant get sound while running it, but that will be investigated when I get a spare 5 mins.

I never played the first one. I Downloaded the Demo for Second Encounter and immediately bought it. Its a great game. I had to send my Motherboard back to the retailer, so I'm using my old machine: PIII 500 with a Raedon 64 DDR VIVO and it runs smoothly at 1024x768.

I like it but the problem is it looks just like the first one, its like playing an expansion pack. Just done the level with that mad room thats shaped like a cylinder, Whoa thats mental.

In my local city serious sam 1 in staples is £29.99 still what a rip off! in toyrus next door its £9.99. Serious Sam second edition is £19.99
