I think it'll work fine. Just beware of the ISA slots, as canit said.

I have had good luck with Abit mobo's. I believe their KT7 is the board of choice for the AMD users around here. Plus, that should also leave you plenty of room for future upgrades.

I recommend you check out the specifics on that board here http://www.abit.com.tw/english/index.htm

Best of luck!

I could use a little sage advice. I'm really a PC nugget. After getting a digicam I realized the true inadequacy of my system and the need to upgrade /replace. I'm currently using a Gateway 133 mz and would like to build my replacement system. I was thinking about a new ATX case, Duron 750 and Mobo and RAM. To minimize investment ( a necessity) I was considering cannibalizing the modem ,video ( Matrix MGA ), sound ( Ensoniq Soundscape VIVO )and Cd from the old sytem. The modem and cd have been upgraded from the original. Will the older sound and video boards work. Thoughts , comments, suggestions. I appreciate the help.

You can probably use the old cards and drives. If any of your cards are isa make sure your new board has a isa slot.
