CD/RW

Finally broke down and bought a Lextor CD/RW. One question. On which IDE should I put it on? I have one IDE master with a hard drive and the other IDE master with CD rom. Should I make the CD/RW a master or a slave and which IDE should I put it on? Thanks.

It used to make a difference how you set this up but doesn't seem to now. Try setting it as a slave to the existing cd-rom.

I think the early ones needed to be master on the 2nd ide with the cd-rom as slave on the other ide. Not sure what changed, but you can set it up most any way you want to now.
