System Crashes When Net Browsing Only HELP!!

Need help with this one guys, Only the Sysopt folks can help me with this one. :D

I put together a new system AMD 950mhz, 256Meg Ram nothing special. Everything works great all applications and such. But when I use Internet Explorer 6.0 the system crashes / Hangs up on most web sites.

Ie: www.gamespot.com

That site crashes the system, on some simple websites its okay on other more complex sites (graphics?) it crashes!

What gives?

I found that if I Disable ActiveX in the IE6 security options the
Web pages load fine and no crashes. But I always get a popup
alert saying that the page is using ActiveX and the page may not
display properly.

Anyway to correct the situation and get ActiveX working or at
least prevent the popup alert from coming up.

Sounds like you may have some damaged ActiveX controls. I'd suggest that you attempt to repair the browser by removing it with Add/Remove Programs, and make a repair from the menu that will appear.
