Hey guys,
Mkaing my new AMD system. Need some recommendations for most of it. I'm one of those people who can't make up their mind. I already have some ideas. But just not sure yet. The following is what I am already settled on. Tell me if any of it is messed up please. BTW. I'm looking for specific componets. Not just, "Go with Maxtor for the HD"

CPU- AMD Duron 800Mhz
Motherboard – ABIT KT& RAID
Case – Antec KS282
HS/F – GlobalWin Fop 32-1
Memory – 2x Crucial PC133 128Mb

That's basically what i want. I know what it sounds like. I come in here and want you guys to make a spec sheet for me so all i have to do is go buy it all and slap it all together. I know, i know, but i just want some recommendations... I already have some ideas about what i should go with... but since i trust all of you, i figured you would be the best people to ask for help... I really need help with the drives and vid card. I don't know what way i want to go with the HD and the Drives... oh well, I'll let you sort it all out.

PC is on a BUDGET - go easy guys!

Not looking to use DVD, unless you have a cheap one, and already have a CDRW in another system. Need vid, sound, modem and NIC. I'd also like a recommendations on a monitor. El Cheapo is fine. Probably switch it with another 17in i already have anyway. 15-17in please

Thanks
and i'm going to keep bumping this untill i get you guys to reply, so please help...

video card, go with the cheapest GeForce2MX card you can find. There is no difference. Even if the memory on one is 7ns and the other 5.5ns. I'm using one in my 800TBird system and it works great.
sound card, SB Live, either MP3 or gamer, same thing
nic, I have linksys 10/100, it was only $10
hd, IBM 7200rpm, 30GB, it was a great buy
DVD, pioneer 16X, about $100, not bad at all

yeah I know u asked for specific recs,b u t
heres a general one.
WD udma 66, but get ata 100 adapter card
and ata 100 hard drive if affordable. otherwise the hard drv slows the whole sys.
winME if your main app is games, otherwise win98 or 2k.
