I have 2 cdrw's one at home and one at work. They both are different brands, Sony and Phillips , and use different burning software. This creates problems when I do a cd at home and want to add to it at work or viceversa, it talks about one being packet burned and not be compatable. My question is does any software work with any cdrw. I would like to make both of them the same software, what-ever that software is. Thanks

I am almost sure Easy CD 5 , and Nero support both recorders you can check the tow links to verify:

Since it seems your biggest concern is packet writing, use Roxio 5 or scrounge a copy of Adaptec 4x. The Direct CD is one of the best writing programs.

But don't install either with Nero. It'll give your computer Alzheimer's.
