I have two HD's in my computer. Currently I have a 30g Maxtor with windows XP. I have a 40g Maxtor that is physically inside my case but its not hooked up. It has windows 98 installed on it.
If I make the 40g HD my slave drive. What will happen when I boot up? Will I encounter a problem because Windows 98 is loaded on the 2nd HD?

Nope. No problems as long as you set the second drive as "slave", WinXP will boot then from your primary.
