My plan was to pick up SoF when it was released because of the press in gaming magazines. Plus the fact that Raven was onboard to produce the game. They've put out some great work in the past and I had thought it would be great to see location specific damage. Overall, the game turned out pretty good, but not without some lame scripting and some questionable collision detection. I'm looking forward to SoF2 though, but in the meantime Return to Castle Wolfenstein is definitely kickass. First time I jumped into a machine gunners nest, whoa baby! Let her rip, rock and roll! Unfortunately, my thrill didn't last long because gun nests attract snipers like flies to a horse.

People have it on KaZaA and the release date is Feb 2002. And thats what month it is. I saw it for sale on one web site but forgot wich one. Also stores should be getting it in about a couple of days

I didn't see SoF2 at a local EB store yesterday. I'll keep an eye out for it because it is possible that it sold out like hot cakes. However, I did look longingly at Medal of Honor, unfortunately, my girlfriend was with me at the time which put a damper on any unrestricted buying. I will have to secretly purchase it later. Come on guys, you know how that is! But hey, afterwards, she went with me to watch Black Hawk Down. An excellent movie, depicting that in war, no matter how much thought and planning you put into it, it never goes smoothly. It turned out to be a 3 hour movie, but during the film, I didn't notice the length of time.

if there is something on kazaa it is either a movie trailer or some virus
i do not think it is a leaked version and i wouldnt trust it

Dammit!!! This really sucks. After I finished downloading the game SOF2 it ended up being Red Alert 2. I hate it when people name the file the wrong name. But anyways it going to be out somtimes this months. Really soon.

i remember i spent about 2 hours downloading various animes.. a lot of them turned out to be the same because some people renamed them and their episode numbers -_-

Soldier of Fortune is a FUN game. I love rescuing hostages and getting in a good LIMB SHOT. giBz R k00l. As much as people complain about the shallow nature of the storyline of Soldier, I disagree. At the time I bought it in May '00, it was the most realistic and funnest counter-terrorist game I'd seen or heard of. Soldier 2 is touted to have a much better script, and that's fine. I must say that I like the single player soldier mode as opposed to multiplayer because Bots are easier to kill. Fact is I just SuCK.:rolleyes: q3 engine looks good in this game and runs fine with full everything on my 2 year old system.

Medal of Honor: Allied Assault is a FUN game. Get the blood patch to assist in the violence;). But the storyline is immersive. I've only played it for a few hours, but it has become an instant favorite. BTW, the music is very well done. I find myself humming the score at work. q3 engine.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein is a FUN game. Finished it in I think 'bring it on' mode last week, and started again a few days ago. I'm examining the .c and .h scripts from Quake 3 and going to look at those from soldier to investigate at the possibility of enabling BOTS in multiplayer mode. If anyone out there knows about these files, or useful schtuff on how to make my scripts work in RTCW, please post it. On this -- for q3 there are a bunch of defines and include preprocessor directives which I want to facsimilate in RTCW. Instead of defining powerups and weapons from q3, I'd have to replace those with RTCW schtuff. The include headers will have to be written specifically for RTCW(probably a few pages per script, so not too bad). I wondered about incrementing through a subroutine so the bots will not all spawn as a soldier or medic etc. That would be cool. But getting the bots to behave the way they should--you know, storming the beach, or defending it from the invasion, that will be hard. Any ideas?

Get Serious Sam. This game has awesome graphics and you get the shoot the hell out of aliens with things like a double barrel shotgun and a 16mm Raptor sniper rifle.

I must agree seroius sam second encounter is 1 kick *** game.

Nothing can beat that chain gun. When their is a herd of of like 500 of those wierd alien things runniogn at you. Just wip it out and mow them down.

I would have to say i like seroius sam better than SOF. Mabey even better than wold and MOh
