One tech guy in a magazine says that RAM is the lowest its been in years. Fry's had 256MB PC-133 for $128 last week. He predicts that RAM will eventually go back up again and won't be this cheap til about 2003.

What do you guys think? Is now a good time to upgrade/build a new computer?

I'm sure the prices on RAM will go up sooner or later. RAM is one hardware that you see much price changes on.....

ram always dips this time of year and yes..it will go back up and I dont believe you will see these kind of prices again

I think the big reason is they're making room for 150Mhz and higher! Getting rid of the "slower stuff"

Yeah, I was just going to say something along Randy's line. That while RAM prices are currently low, I think they will stay low since it is the slow stuff.

Then again, why take chances? I'm going to buy some in the next 2 months or less.
I will go the cheap route while the industry tries to figure out what they will make a standard.
