bios beep errors

Hi there,

I am having a problem understanding the error beeps for thi problem.

First it beeps 2 times quickly, then it beeps 8 times, then again 2 times, then once. The system then does nothing.

Is there anyone who can help please

I don't know what kind of Bios u have,and I don't know what so many beeps mean,I would visit AMI , AWARD, or whatever is yours WEB site and search for info. GOOD LUCK:p

Your computer is a IBM ?

If your answer is yes : Maybe a memory, video or mobo problem !

If your answer is no : Maybe a video card problem ! (8 beeps)

If IBM : try to clean the contacts of the video card ! If your are using onboard video, disable it and test with other video card !
