You may want to backup all the files you want to save and perform a low level format to see if there are any bad sectors. Shinta 01-29-2002, 03:50 PM i actually tried shutting down and booting up about 20ins later and the problem was gone.. weird huh? but do you think i should still back up my files and format? rangeral 01-29-2002, 07:28 PM Yes if you have a burner then I would backup important files it could happen again and just quit on you period. Backup first and go to the hd's site and d/l their diagnostic utility see what it reports they all have one. Shinta 01-29-2002, 09:29 PM cant i try the utility before backing up the files? or is it just better to do it asap? rangeral 01-30-2002, 02:27 AM Backup first, experiment later. SysOpt.com
