I am going to be needed to know some about wiring diagrams and such. And I was wondering if anyone knew of some sites that I could goto and brush up on some basic fundamentals.

So if anyone knows thanks!!

It would be helpful to know what type of wiring you mean ~ Electronics? House? Automotive? Aircraft?

Also, could you clarify "and such"?

AC Voltage:

Wires: (Does not apply in Hialeah, Fl)
black = Hot
white = Nuetral
red = 240v 2nd leg Hot
green = Ground

'bout all I know on AC wiring http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Now if you ask about DC Boat wiring, I got a huge list

Man! Tight job security in this field of employment. Not sure why, but it took me all of 15 search engines and more time than I intended just to come up with less than half a dozen sites. But at least they seem to be solid hits for what you're seeking.

Tables of schematic symbols -
http://webhome.idirect.com/~jadams/electronics/schem.htm
http://library.thinkquest.org/10784/circuit_symbols.html

All schematic symbols with fairly detailed info about each -
http://www.aaroncake.net/electronics/schem.htm

Seemingly all encompassing knowledge base about electronics -

Not sure what this is. Appears to be VERY detailed and VERY involved complex electronics. Possibly its part of some course that's offered online. I dunno. Seems very specific, so it's probably not relevant to your needs, but...ya never know, it might be just exactly what you need. [shrug]

You can try a few of these if you like.
http://www.ee.ualberta.ca/html/cookbook.html http://www.keelynet.com/sources/schema1.htm http://www.qsl.net/ve1dcd/schem.html http://www.eklektix.com/gfc/elect/ http://www.mitedu.freeserve.co.uk/index.html

For a good primer on basic electronics try:
http://webhome.idirect.com/%7Ejadams/electronics/theory.htm

Any books written by "Floyd" are good. I have several of them and swear by them.

The site in Hawaii mentioned by Outpatient is on ASIC's (Application Specific Integrated Chips) - You make integrated IC's for a very narrow and specific purpose in order to prevent competitors from opening up your device and copying it. Very cool stuff!
