Guys, some advice from the experts please! I'm putting together a new system and I'm going to have both a DVD-ROM drive and a CD/RW drive. I would like to run both drives on the same IDE channel. Is there any preference as to which one should be the Master? The DVD is the LiteOn LTD-163 and I'd prefer to use it primarily for reading CDs and DVDs, and DAE, since it's faster, while using the burner only to burn (the new LiteOn 32x12x40). I also hope to be able to copy on the fly with that setup. Any known issues with both drives on the same IDE channel? Thanks in advance!!

hi
set the cdrw as the master and the dvd as the slave,

liteon does actually recommend putting the cdrw on its own ide cable as master
if you do have problems id suggest putting the dvd as a slave on ide 1 with your hardrive and putting the cdrw as master on its own on ide2

good luck
