right now i have a system with a 30 gig HD running XP...i have a hard drive from a computer i bought about 4 years ago that i want to hook up to my comp so i can use it...it is a maxtor model #90680D4 and i think its 6 gigs...what do i have to do to hook this thing up to my comp now and will it be compatible (biostar m7mke board) with athlon 750? also, if i get it hooked up, what will i have to do to access this HD and not the one i have now so i can put xp on it? thanks in advance

If you setup the 6g for XP you may be in for a world of problems with a drive that could be reaching the end of its lifespan not to speak of decreasing your access and writes. If anything I would just fdisk the drive format it and attach as slave for a storage drive with this if you have any problems running XP with this drive attached then you could just disconnect it.
