I have somehow lost my ability to enter Windows 2000 because of a password problem. It keeps telling me my password is invalid. Can I just do something to let me reformat the HD and install Win-98?

You will have to boot with a disk that has fdisk on it. run fdisk delete the non dos
partition then create does partition,
make ative, and format.

Hi,
One thing, if you havent already tried it, is, try plugging a new keyboard in and typing your password. Because i had this exact same problem and when i replaced the keyboard, entered my password and finally got onto w2k, i plugged the old keyboard back in and tested it only to find that if you pressed for example the full stop key it would put "o" in front of it and vice versa, even when i pressed the enter key on the main part of the keyboard it would type a "]" in.

Thank you.
I appreciate your help. I think what happened was that I had named the computer my own name, but it only took my first name and ignored the last. Then when I kept entering it with both names, it said that it was invalid. Go figure.
I am running agin. That is good.
