help....TDK velocd 24x10x40B

I just bought a tdk 24x10x40B, using a nero software. But I also wants to use adaptec 5.0 platinum, but it doesnt work, so I try to update to 5.0c but still not working properly, is there anyone who have the same problem? any input is greatly appreciated..thxz

Try going to folder options/file types tab find your software highlight hit edit on right and hit the set default button might also remove one app and just use the other as the default if setting defaults doesn't work also when you remove one you should do a find in regedit and delete all instances of the one you uninstalled, maybe d/l MS regclean to clean up the registry which is very easy to run.
