I have a Gateway PC to which I purchased an ME Operating System. I f-disked & formatted a hard drive in another (non-Gateway) computer that I own. I made c-mos boot to the CD-Rom to which the gateway ME Oper. System is on and the give you 1 & 2 option. 1 start in windows, 2 install. When I attempt to do so it says "will not install on non-gateway product". How can I delete, bypass or gain access to the installation of my operating system.

Weird
Your pc's manufacturer probably made a customized boot program on the cd. Nonetheless, it's much harder to change the windows install program itself. You should try to start the system with a bootdisk (win 98 or something like that so you'll have cd-rom access) and simply type E: (if d: ramdrive that is, else it will be d: ), and then setup.exe and hit enter. This way, you'll disable the bootdisk burned on the cd.
Good luck! :p
