Ok here is the scoop. I got 4 monitors at an auction at work. Monitor 1 is a Tektronix model # 119-5132-10 17 inch color svga. It's problem is when you try to adjust the size and position of the viewing area it says locked on and I am not able to adjust it. Is there a way to unlock it? I've checked Tektronix's site no help. Monitors 2,3 and 4 are HP model # A4251's. They have 9 pin female connectors on them. What can I do to use a standard 15 pin video cable on them? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

check out this link... it describes how the connection of the
9 to 15-pin VGA cables work!

http://margo.student.utwente.nl/stefan/hwb/ca_9to15VGA.html

in short:

9 Pin 15 Pin
1 1
2 2
3 3
4 13
5 14
6 6
7 7
8 8
9 10 + 11

hope this helps...

Thanks Hyphun. I made a couple of cables for the HP monitors and they seem to work just fine. I'm still trying to figure out the lock out on the other monitor though.
