Do you know anything about a new protocol V.92 and does anywhone has it yet?

the V.90 is for 56K download and 33.6 upload.

I think V.92 is 56K for both.

V.92 is actually 56k download (unless you live in the US, then it's 53.3) and 44k upload instead of the V.90 standard of 33.6 upload.

I believe it has the ability to let you hear incoming calls if you have call waiting too.

I believe v.92 also will cut in half the handshake time, I think they are calling this Quick Connect.
V92.com has more info, but I read that it is sponsered by by Conexant Systems, Inc.

Im wondering about Ping will it be a better ping or a slower ping? This is pretty Intresting.... But Im getting DSL a short while AFTER I get my new comp so ill only have to tolerate the slow speed for a while http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
