hard drive slownest

i don't know why but during this week my hard drive seem a bit slower even though i defrag it and is still slow. Can someone tell me how to increase hard drive reading speed or tweak the problem. my thought is that i think my HD is dieing

No, the drive is not dying unless you are getting system errors and/or it is making lots of whirring noises (like a bad bearing).

You probably just have lots of resource hog apps loaded, or had them loaded at one time and your feeling the after effects of poor programming.
