Hi voogru,
One thing: if you combine the 5.99GB and 8.4GD disks in a RAID0 array, you will end up with a 12GB d: drive.
The array is built using the smallest HD. In your case, it is the 6GB.
Of course, I assume you want to implement a stripe (RAID0) using the RAID controller of your new KT7-RAID.
It would be more logical (this is Spock speaking now) to use the 8.4GB and 8.6GB HD in the RAID array - avoiding waste of HD space.

Hey Mntsnow:If you can Change the Topic too "RAID Configuration Question" or somtheing like that would be nice since the is no longer a question about whether I should use raid or not.

so the Asus A7v supports ATA/100 but doesnt support raid? Which I dont really need raid anyway.
any suggestions should I get this mobo? or stick with the Raid?
Ok Im thinking bout it It does support ATA/100 and I can get it from Monarch Computer for a cheaper Price than the Raid.
So do you think I should get this mobo and where can I gte some reviews?

I believe that if you combine drives of different speeds on a raid like your ata33 and 100 they will run at the slower speed. Seems like a waste. You could run the ata 100 and then have the two other ata33's in a raid setup. I'm thinking about getting this mobo too. Let me know what you think about it.
