I am on a Network using Netscape Communicator and am having some problem with our (Watchguard)firewall preventing me from using some parts of ebay-- I keep getting an error message that reads:

"Watchguard firewall: response denied from http://216.32.120.137:80/aw-cgi/ebayisapi.dll: content type required."

This has been going on for over a month. Our network administrator keeps saying he can't do anything unless I can tell him what the required content type is, or unless I give him an ip numer or something. I keep trying to ask people in ebay forums but no one has any suggestions. No one else here has this
problem, and if I log in on another computer here I don't have this problem.

Can anyone advise me what I need to tell my network administrator? This is a low priority for him, but it's driving me CRAZY!

this looks to me like the result of a failed database query. do you get this when you're trying a search or hitting a link that initiates a search? it looks like your request is hitting the database server, being processed by the isapi filter, but the connection back to you is not being allowed. i'd be willing to bet that the watchguard box is configured for dynamic NAT. do you know if you're connecting to the web transparently, or do you proxy to the firewall? if you have routable ip's behind that watchguard box then have the admin set the http proxy to force the source address of the originating host. that may help the request results get back to you instead of bouncing off of the firewall. if that won't work then it wouldn't be too difficult for him/her to set up a couple of packet screening rules to allow the traffic based on source (you) and destination (ebay).
