Do i have to go into my case to do this or can I get a program that will let me set the multiplier? Also Is there a way to increase the speed of the fsb through bios or something? I was using a program that was a little unreliable (overclocks my comp to 2000ghz when I dont look)

spidey,
the XPs are multiplier locked so -- unless you reconnect the L1 bridges -- your only recourse is to boost your fsb settings, say from 133-->140 or so. Most folks seem to be able to achieve 140-141mhz on their bus speed before PCI devices start to get funky. Other, lucky people, have gone far beyond this bus speed, sometimes changing the PCI timing factor, say from a 1:4 to a 1:5 ratio. If you currently have aggressive memeory timings (CAS2-2-2, for example) or have lesser quality ram, you may need to back off on the ram's CAS settings to OC the bus speed. Then, it becomes a tradeoff: what helps more, higher bus speed to boost all the hardware components versus lower memory throughput performance.

thanks all. i remember hearing about the xp's being locked but i had no idea what it meant. After reading the article that WyreTheWolf posted i am positive i am not skilled enough (yet) to start messing around with the processor. I still need a little more experience. I'll mess around with the fsb. Can anyone recomend me to a good stable fsb increasing program.

I don't know how similar your GA-DX is to my GA-7VTXH but you can go into the BIOS and set it. I think it is set to JUMPER by default. What I don't know is if you have to remove the jumper from the mobo.
What program were you using? The EasyTune?
