Hey, just had this crazy dream. You guys know of a mobo that supports a dual AMD processor. Looking for a socket, for t-bird. I'm sure they exist, I mean, wouldn't servers use them and stuff like that... How would my speed compare. say instead of running a single t-bird 800, i run two t-bird 800s? and how much will this affect my cost factor, I know how much the processor will cost me, but what about the mobo it's self. Maybe a stupid question, but will it still be in ATX form? just thought about it probably being really made for servers... just a wild idea...hehehehe... thanks

Sorry to inform you, but there aren't any Dual AMD Motherboards yet http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif
Not even for servers. Servers until now have been using all intel stuff.
BUT, and thats the biggest BUT you'll ever see, there ARE Dual AMD Motherboards coming out in January, or early February. I have no clue how much they will be, bu t they will be pretty mainstream http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
I can't wait. I am gonna buy one almost instantly!!!!

I think we all say that to ourselves all the time! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/biggrin.gif You come up with this brilliant idea, and find out later that the idea was already around when you browse the Internet one day. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/biggrin.gif

For those of you that don't care about waiting for a higher quality board like and ASUS or an ABIT... gigabyte has one now.. i believe anandtech.com had a link to their page that displayed it

They do not show a dual socket A motherboard on their site. http://www.giga-byte.com/products/pro_socketa.htm
Could you provide a link? I looked through anandtechs site and found nothing.
