I just went to this place and tried it a few times. I was getting 0.035Mbps download speed and 0.250Mbps upload speed???
I'm using a 56K v.92 modem????? Don't make sense?? What would account for that upload speed???

I tried WSFTP sending binary files and text files to and from my web site at my ISP. I would consider this the 'best' case test.
Downloading binary files (from them to me) - 65Kbps, average
Uploading binary files (from me to them) - 40Kbps, average
Downloading text files - 148Kbps, average
Uploading text files - 127Kbps, average
This was at 6:15 pm when I would guess they are pretty busy. I tried each test 3 times and took the average time.
I'm using a new Creative 56K V.92 internal modem. I used to get better with an old USRobotics ISA modem. My ISP does have V.92 modems.
The binary file was a TIF image file using packed bits compression, so I don't imagine there was much gas in the file. It's size was 200K. The text file was 100K in size.
I'll update after I get DSL running-

The CNet/MSN service speed test sucks...
Numnio gave me a 200kbps connection??? Something wrong there...
My connection only came to 998kbps...while www.dslreports.com\stest showed 1.7mbps!

I just met a friend playing some CS server...He lives no farther than I do from the server we were playing, the only thing was that he DSL and was pinging 80ms to it, and I, with cable, got an average of 200ms....Now that sucks....I don't care if I have 1500-3000mps connection, if it is going to behave as if we have a 128kbit laggy connection...

Does anyone know of any tests based in the Uk, as I kan just about keep up with you guys using US speed test, which put me at a slight disadvantage, seen as how I'm a few thousand miles, and quite a few proxys away.
