I've read through the FAQ's but was wondering if there was any other way to add pictures to my post. The FAQ's say" All pictures, diagrams, and other related graphics displayed in a post must be hosted by the posting member's own site or web account.
I dont have my own web site built. Is there no way to cut and paste an image?
Just wondering 'cause I wanted to add to the "Inside of your cases" thread.
Thanks all...

Just go to Yahoo and register for free and you will be able to use geocities which is 15mb space to put up a personal web site or image files that you want to post here in SysOpt.

You might have web space provided by your ISP. You don't have to publish a web page to be able to post a pic. You only need a file manager that you can upload the img too. It doesn't take long to register with your ISP web hosting service. If yours doesn't have this web host service you can go to:
http://geocities.com
and register for web space. FREE! 15 meg's. It would take you about half an hour to have the pic up on Geocities an 30 seconds to post it on the thread. Once you get to that point you can contact me and I will give you any assistance you require. We could even keep this thread going in APP's and anyone else wishing to obtain the knowledge of getting through the first steps of using web hosting and file management might appreciate it.
The only problem with having your ISP hosting your web content is that you might get mad at them or find a better deal and the pic's and web content will disappear with the ISP upon termination of your account. Here at SysOpt, all threads are archived and they and we really appreciate all content on a thread sticking around for the long haul.
I had to move my web site once. Not an easy task. All the graphics, and your story board links change address and you have to re-address everything manually. Not a lot of Ha, Ha involved.
There is one other option of course. I could host the pic for you.
What do you want to do?
Cheers!

Thanks for the quick replies! My ISP does offer a couple meg for it users. I'm going to look into going that route. It's about time I start learning about HTML, building web pages, and FTP anyway.
Beemers, Thanks for the offer of hosting the pic's though. SysOpt and it's members here are the best! That reminds me... gotta go cast my daily vote!

Quick and easy pic posting is available at Post my pic, one minor prob is your pics are only hosted for 60 days but ive found thats plenty long enough for use here, takes about 15 secs to post a pic and works real well... http://www.postmypic.com <IMG SRC="http://c.postmypic.com/c.nsf/z/MOD4RFCK/$file/MOD4.jpg" border=0>
