A friend of mine told me that the reason my h/d is running at ATA33 is because i need a 80 dualcore IDE cable.

True/False? :confused:

true!!

:-)) and your mobo has to be ATA/66 capable! check this in
your mobo manual and/or BIOS!

it does 33/66/100, do i need another cable still for ATA100???

no!

the difference between ATA66 and ATA100 is just
the signal pulse timing.

ATA66 cable is ok for ATA100!
