As we all know, scour exchange has been closed which it really sucks. Do you guys know of other awesome apps like scour? I can't live without my mp3's you see.

Thanks and happy burning!

I just received this link earlier today:

http://www.imesh.com

Supposedly allows for file sharing across the net with functionality similar to Scour.

I haven't had a chance to download this utility yet, but I plan to give it a try later tonight. The closing of Scour is quite depressing.

I don't know about the imesh program. It is not letting me register!

I use usually use newsgroups to get mp3's.

Hey jad1097, IF it's not letting you in is because of your Nickname. Keep trying different nicks and you will get in.

Happy burning.

Type to you later!

OUCH! I got a nice blue screen of death after installing imesh! Hopefully a reinstall does the trick.

Thanks George but it says "Registration Failed can't establish a connection". I guess it does not like my cable modem or something. I tried different user names and everything I could think of. I got pi$$ed off so I just uninstalled and deleted it.

I think I will stick with the newsgroups since when I want something I just ask for someone to post it and they always have. Try to find Alice Cooper-From The Inside (Full Album) anywhere else @192kbps. I also get pre-release albums using newsgroups. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif

Well anyhow you should give them a try if you have a good connection and a large hard drive and burner. alt.binaries.sounds.mp3 will get you started.

yup! the newsgroups are where it's at. for those guys who are into amassing huge collections of mp3s by the albums, go there.
