I use netzero as my isp and the banner ads are (I believe) javascript. I actually don't mind the ads while I'm surfing but while I'm trying to play games the ads keeping on flashing and glicthing my fullscreen games. I can play games in a window mode but must reduce the size so that the banner doesn't doesn't interfere with the game screen. For example I can set my toolbar as "always on top" and it covers up half the ad. Is there an option for "always on top" for a window or for fullscreen games.
Don't you think netzero is always on the top?
The only thing you can do is either to tolerate that banner's disturb or kill the banner at all.

First... I don't know of any way to keep a regular window on top.
Second... If you figure out a way to do it, ya can't do it with netzero... here's why I say this:
ICQ has a "stay on top" option. If you use netzero, you have to turn it off because it conflicts with the ad banner. If you try to keep ICQ "on top", Netzero somehow detects it, sends you warning message, then automatically disconnects you.
In conclusion... you're best bet is to download a patch that kills the netzero banner altogether.

I wrote a netzero patch that totally kills the banner ad..it works on all versions but the only thing that is a ***** and wont reallt solve the problem is in the newer version they make all the forms always on top..what my patch does it it neutralizes the connect screen so the banner never has time to be displayefd..this works fine in v 2.2 but now in 3.0 the connect screens has that always on top code..so if you want try to find an older version of netzero somewhere..
but now here is the catch.
I have received an email today about how in two days (Nov 20)2000 , they are going to no longer support the older software..which means my patch and software wil be usesless..but may i suggest running a search for: SDNet
this program is a good netzero patch and im trying it now.
BTW: The url to my patch is at: http://www.angelfire.com/ny/AcidFireEnterprises/images/NetPatch.exe
Doesn't killing the Netzero banner void the user agreement for the service? As well, doesn't putting another window overtop of it do the same thing?
I've been using Netzero since Freewwweb folded, and I've gotten used to the banner.
It's only 3/4" across the top, barely noticable after a while.
I feel that I'm getting decent service for free, and shouldn't try to defeat their income source.
Those banner ads pay for the service, guys.
