possible to connect to pcs via modem?

Is there any way i can setup a connection between 2 computers through the modem with the same phone line so i can copy files.

Sure there is! If you have Windows 95 or 98 you can setup a Dial Up networking server. (Max throughput is 115k I think). Goto the add/remove programs applet in the control panel and goto the Windows Setup. Under communications (most likely with the win98 machine) There should be a Dial-Up server. You may have to refer to your Windows help file on howto set this up. I haven't done it in 3 or 4 years, but I know it works!
