I posted a few days ago because my PC would drain from 83% to under 1% overnight while it sat idle, even if I rebooted prior to sitting idle and didn't touch anything.

Long story short, it turns out that of all the 25 or so things that run at startup, it was the task scheduler that is causing this. In the task schedular, I have four things scheduled:
- Norton Anti-Virus scan (weekly)
- PCHealth Scheduler for Data Collection (every 10 minutes)
- Symantec NetDetect (every 5 minutes)
- Tune-Up Application start (monthly)

Looks like it's either (or both) the PCHealth or the NetDetect. Has anyone else run into this problem before? Other than disable these two things or adjust their scheduled times/dates, are there any suggestions to solving this?

I'm still not 100% convinced that my RAM is not playing a part in this, but everything is perfect with the task scheduler disabled at startup.

THANKS!!!

Try disabling the scheduled tasks one at a time to see which is causing the drain. So far NAV and the tuneup don't cause the drain on any of the machines I work with (8 different PCs that I maintain).

I'd disable the PCHealth first. If not that, then I'd disable Netdetect next. You'll find which are causing the problem and can take appropriate steps.
