Wondering if anyone knows what type SCSI connection comes with the HP 4C Scanner. Friend of my give it to me a year ago. Didn't get to set it up till now. What type of scsi adaptor or card should I get as my friend didn't give me the card and he went oversea for good.

This link may help you, more specific information is available from HP if you have the product serial number available to do your search. According to documentation I reviewed on the HP site it seems that almost any SCSI card with an external connector should work. You should do a little research at the HP site and possibley give their tech support a call regarding suggestions for a SCSI adapter.
There are numerous options when it comes to purchasing a SCSI card ranging from $29 -$600+ and certain cables can cost as much as the card. Generally speaking, SCSI adapters are designed to be backwards compatible. SCSI is a great upgrade path, as I have just recently come to find out, so you may want to weigh the cost of purchasing a "better" adapter instead of a cheapie for future upgradability of your system.

I'm gonna step out on a limb here and say I THINK it's a SCSI-2 50 PIN.
I've got a few 5pse's and a PhotoSmart and that's what they are.
I'll look at work tomorrow, I think we have a 4c there..

p.s. at www.compgeeks.com (http://www.compgeeks.com) you can get a ISA SCSI-2 50 pin card for about $17.00

Had I clicked the link Mr Cookie Munster provided, duh, I'd have seen that it is indeed a SCSI-2.
" Interface
SCSI-2 "
also, HP has a IRQ-less driver for these " Symbios Logic " cards (number 20403 as best as I remember)
