Windows Hangs with New Processor, HELP, Please

Hi,

I need a little help.

I've just upgraded from a PII 300, to a PIII 733EB Flip Chip, 133FSB.

I managed to install it and it is recognised by the boot up bit, as a 731eb thats fine, it gets as far as the initial colour of the windows screen, then stays blank, and "hangs".

Pressing ctrl+alt+del to bring up the "thing" (I can't think what its called, task list?" there are NO programs showing.

Could this be caused by memory not being pc133?

or something else?

Any help would be greatly received.

it could be your RAM, it could also be your CPU overheating, or needing a little more voltage(?), be sure your HS\Fan assembley is up to the job and check your BIOS settings!
