Hi, I want to learn C++ but need something like a free compiler. you know, something like qbasic (that useed to come with dos) but for C++. I have Visual C++ but i want one that isnt visual.
Does something like that exist??
I want to download it from the net.
thanks

Take a look at Borland's C++ Builder 5.5. It is free for download, and exceeds the fuinctionality of MS Visual C++ in many areas. Here is a link:

Good Luck,

OK, i think it is my fault.
i dont know english very good and when I said "compiler", I didnt meant only the compiler, but all the programming suite.
jeez, i just want something to write onto and run it.
the C++ builder that i downloaded was useless because it is a compiler and anything else.
thanks for your help

What your looking for is called a "run-time interpreter". It compiles the code at run-time, just like QBASIC does. I remember old versions for ANSI C under DOS, but I know of nothing that will effectively handle today's more advanced C++ code.

Hi,

Are you still looking for C++ and wasn't sure if last post was meant for me or not?

Thanks,
