Going to buy one just a couple of questions. I use my TV out now on my tnt2 ultra to my 53" sony. What is the highest rez on tv out? I heard it was 1024x768 and also the more popular 800x600? Never seen 1024 on a TV. Also, it would display on the TV and monitor at the same time correct? These features were my biggest pull from a ti500.
Not a Radeon 8500 owner, but from specs it supports 1024x768 output to TV, and of coz dual-monitor feature, i.e. you can choose and configure to see the same picture both on your monitor and on TV.

jcandel, did you get a RETAIL or an OEM???
BTW, if you get an OEM, is it possible to get RETAIL performance by overclocking?

The card is retail.I`ve had it oc`ed as high as 290/300 using power strip. Runs best @ 280/295 though that only gives me alittle over 200 marks on 3Dmark 2001.I would`nt buy oem.The card came with cables and adapters and halflife bundled software.Teamfortress, uplink, blueshift and opposingforce.<J>

$200.00 + shipping for the retail card is a great price. I shopped for a couple of months and never found the retail boxed card for that price. The lowest price I found was $236.00, listed on www.pricewatch.com. I finally paid the full $299.00 for mine, but I had a gift card left over from Christmas I had never used, so I purchased the card at BB, and used the card, so I was out of pocket $199.00 + tax. I ran 3dMark2001 straight out of the box and using 9008 drivers the score was 8400. I am extremely happy with this card. Best I ever had, Am playing RTCW now and the system is playing this game at highest settings 1024x768x32 and is extremely smooth. The 8KHA+ and the Radeon 8500 makes a perfect match.
