Ok i have tried to install this audigy platinum card with live drive and xp pro will not recognise the hardware.hardware wizard finishes and i see this;
CANNOT INSTALL THIS HARDWARE
There was a problem installing this hardware;
Multimedia audio controller

an error occurred during the installation of the device

access denied
click finish to close

i tried all slots some say the 2 dont work together others say they have no problems.WTF???
1900 amd cpu
extra duty cooling
1024mb ddr samsung
2 60gig ibm drives raid "0"
gf3 xtacy t-500
3com nic
400 watt raidmax pwr supply
34degrees celsious cpu temp
techs sent my pc in non bootable fashion and tell me soyo says that the card should be on slot 4.............didnt work
they said the card will not work others say it will...............im at a loss
new asus a7v266e will be here tuesday
id like to get this board working with all my componants
i still have a 1394 card,scanner,web cam all for install
i reinstalled os and reset bios properly and now can use the pc fine
3dmark tests were 8567
sisoft tests and benchmarks were fine
just wont notice the sound card :confused:

Have you diabled the onboard sound? also you can find the Audigy drivers for XP here http://www.creative.com/support/winxp/

cannot put xp driver update to the audigy drivers if windows doesnt dee an audigy multimeidia device now can i?:)
i have to have the audigy drivers first then update to xp audigy drivers,only when i update now...it says couldnt find a creative device,this device is not installed.I have the first set of audigy drivers on here and they are in the device manager under sound tab.......im baffeled??please help.anyone??
