The K7S5A, depending on who's forum you read is either ridden with problems or it works like a champ. I belong to the later half having built a system based on that board for my sister. It went together very easily and was up and running within minutes. the K7S6A is a very similar board with the inclusion of support for DDR333 memory modules. It also has the newer SIS 745 chipset, (I have yet to run across any test reports of how this particular chipset performs) VS SIS 735 my humble opinion is that the K7S5A offers a lot of bang for the buck and you wouldn't be sorry for buying one.

By the way the config I used for the K7S5A system included an XP1700+, 1 512mb stick of DDR pc2400 and an 64mb SIS-315t video card. It is a speedy little box and doesn't give my sister any trouble

I used the 350w power supply that came with the $60 case. I didn't overclock the machine because it wasn't mine. although It does have some limited overclocking abilities through adjustment of the processor bus speeds. Here is a review on the board where the author briefly describes the results of overclocking it. http://www.ecsusa.com/reviewECSK7S5A.cfm

Hope it helps you!

Oh by the way I used a Thermaltake 6 with the copper Base and standard white thermal paste the system averages about 135 degrees
