Now that you mention it. Is there a document that explains the rules, how posting works, and all that stuff. I've looked and have not found it.

mushroom, forgive me for junking up your thread a little bit. :)

Jimstep,
Sure there is, on the main forum page. (upper right)

"Forum FAQ"- in red letters...

Getting back on topic, here's a good site to visit:

www.nomoreaolcds.com

These guys are gonna collect a MILLION of them, and then bring them back to AOL. :D

Be sure and check out the "pile" while you're there.

In the UK, we get attacked by AOL CD's and Lineone/Tiscali CD's. Something I found great was I waited collected about 50 and sent them back (no stamp / payment). I got a call a few days later complaining that they had to pay something like £5 to recieve the parcel. Worth a laugh - I never received another CD.

I do "drive bys" with them. :) Run by my friends house with a whole stack of them and just launch them at their house. Be careful, the CDs will chip windows. (Talking from experience BTW. :))

They make for a decent mirror in a pinch. Great for those times when you need to find the lime-green connector for your speakers and don't feel like pulling your computer completely out of your desk.

I probably have 5 or 6 laying behind my computer because I dropped them when fiddling with wires.

Iuse them to:

(a) function as coasters
(2) as quasi frisbees
(3) as insulators
(4) as mirrors
(5) as wrist exercisers

I have one of those giant spoles in my bedroom that they wrap bg wire around. And so I broke up all of my aol CDS and glued them onto the spool/table. Looks pretty cool with all the different colors!:D
