Hi all.
I'm trying to install a slot1 700mhz cpu (fsb 100) on a friend's mobo (P3B-F).
He's currently running on a 450mhz cpu and his current bios is rev. 1003a.
According to Asus, as long as the bios is rev. 1004 and up, the P3B-F can support up to 850mhz (even up to 1000mhz).
I've tried flashing the bios and each time I get to Flash Memory Screen, nothing shows up. I tried flashing the bios on my old computer (a P3B-F, 500mhz cpu) and everything went well.
The only difference beetween his mobo and mine, is that my bios was rev.1004 (which got flashed succesfully to rev. 1006)
