Ok i am new at this computer stuff. My computer is a "99" computer and when i open up the display and system it says 16 color not 16 bit . I talked to someone and they said that if they install the color modem then i would not be able to have AOL but if i get a cable Modem then i would be able to have online and the color . Is it possible to have the 256 color installed with a different driver and still have access to the Aol system without getting the cable modem ???

i do not understand what AOL or any other internet connection
could have an effect on your system's graphic's adapter....

can't you set it to 16bit colors?
what operating system do you use? do you know what kind of
graphics adapter you have in your system?

that are the questions i need to have answered before i
might be able to help you !
