Anyone had experience with refurb monitors? I know several people who have bought them and saved a lot of money and got a monitor that's like new. But my brother bought a refurb Dell and the monitor is dark. Changing settings does nothing but make it blurry.
Anyway, I found a refurbished 19" (1880x1440x32 @65 max) for $150 adn want to know whta kinds of experiences people have had with refurd products before I spend my hard earned money. So if you've had an experience with refurb or know someone who has, I would like to hear about it.
Thanks.

I had an exerlent buy with my refurb. it was a 17" Smile monitor (at the time 17" was big) and i got it for £50 around $80 and i never has i problem with it only that there was no power button on my monitor, it had to go into standby mode all the time (what a pity)

I just bought a refurbished 14" monitor for my mom. It only runs in 640x480, my mom doesent need anything higher than that anyway and it was only 50$ cdn.

A 65 hertz refresh rate is not very good. I personally would want at least 85 or better for a 19" monitor. But, that's just me.

Since you talked about refurbish monitor, I would add some infos: Many popular big name companies have been selling refurbished products to customers w/o clearly let them know. No kidding. The parts & accessories dept of a renown big company when asked, admitted reluctantly that they have been selling new and refurbished products mixly.

What a customer want to know is what is bad about a refurbished product? Some products we shouldn't buy as refurbished, yet others no problem.
