Can't uninstall Easy Cd Creator?

Well I recently tried installing Easy CD Creator 5.0 but it says I have to uninstall the previous version before installing it...
so I go to add/remove programs (or uninstall.exe) and I tried uninstalling it but it goes to the Win ME setup screen!! What's up with that?!? How can I uninstall it normally? Is it suppose to do that? That never happened before..

Should I continue on with the Windows setup?
I hope that doesn't delete everything on my computer? Wait I don't think that can/will happen...

Hmmm well I continued on with the ME setup thing that appeared.. and the stupid adaptec is still installed on my computer... errr

Ummm well the ME setup thing did uninstall Adaptec CD creator, but the files and shortcuts were still on the desktop

Ok... Then I installed Roxio Delux CD Creator 5.0 and now Direct CD Doesn't detect my CDRW?!? what's up with that?

In windows explorer go to tools/folder options file types tab look for your cd software highlight hit edit on right and hit set default button if that doesn't work try a custom install and reinstall direct cd see what that does.
