ok, I've seen stuff about ras and cas latency's and such, but have no clue what it all means could somebody please explain? oh and tell me what I should set mine to, I have PC100 SDRAM on a 83MHz FSB.

Latency is the number of clock cycles between a request for data and the availability of the data. The system may require a larger number setting for stability when a particular memory is overclocked.

ah, but it's underclocked at the moment...
When underclocked, you could try setting CL3 RAM to CL=2. If it works, good! I've never heard of using a setting of CL=1 but if the setting is available, give it a try. The whole adventure of 'clocking is to find the most aggressive setting that runs with stability.
