hi sysopt community i love your forums.

I would like to know if it is crazy to think that i can get away with buying a 19" monitor for 150 dollars or less. I dont care if it is refurbished or used. I saw one of them 19" monitor in my college tech lab and i fell in love with the size. ( or atleast i think it is 19 ")

Or will 100 to 150 dollars can only get me a 17" monitor

You should be able to find a used one for that. I saw an AOC 19" monitor on a website for I think $229 brand new. I was trying to check out this brand. Search the web, there's a ton of deals out thar!

I work for an office supply store that also sells computer equipment. I've seen a lot of deals from a manufacturer called Envision. I haven't heard much about the company, but I believe it's the same Envision that makes a lot of the luggage scanners that they use in airports.

We've been selling one 19", the EN-910e for $229, plus there was a $30 rebate (which has ended).

A great barometer that I go by is how many defective, and non-defective returns we have for any given product. I don't recall a single return in the 19" monitors, although we had a handful of the EN-710 (17" monitor) come back. It could be people just wanting to upgrade to the 19" after looking at our flyer and seeing that it was the same price.

We have one on display in the store, it isn't the sharpest picture I've seen and the curvature of the screen is annoying. If you're looking for drive-in movie size, at matinee ticket prices, it's an OK deal, though.
